美第十四航空軍第373重轟炸中隊 王業超

        王業超(1917~1944)湖南省瀏陽縣人，生於中華民國6年3月7日。在空軍軍官學校第十期轟炸組畢業。任空軍第一大隊第二中隊飛行員，後調航委會軍官附員，派在美國駐華第十四航空軍第三七三重轟炸中隊服務。升至中尉二級。

        33年5月20日，烈士駕機轟炸南海日軍護航隊時，被敵船上高射炮火擊中，墜海陣亡。生前有戰績36次。奉頒一等宣威獎章、彤弓獎章、二等復興榮譽勳章。追贈上尉。遺妻范氏及子一。

        附記：一位在臉書群組「308th Bomb Group (H)」的美國朋友Jack Gross所提供關於王烈士出最後一次任務的經過：

        Wang Yeh-Chao (listed as Lt. Wong) was on 42-73430 (no nose art name), which was lost on Mission 116, May 20, 1944 (my father was on that mission, on 42-109887 "HILO HATTIE")

        Originally slated as "a suicide mission to bomb Manila," they were dispatched to intercept a Japanese convoy in the South China Sea. Three B-24s were shot down over the target, 42-73430, 42-73317 "PUCK," and 42-100249 "ACME BEER BARREL." Two additional B-24s, 42-109887 "HILO HATTIE" and 42-73265 "FRENDLIN" were badly damaged, but they were able to make landfall before their crews bailed out.
